Robert DuffyBIM Manager
Robert joined the DLA+ team in 2015 and has an Associate of Science Degree from ITT Technical Institute. He has over 20 years of architectural and engineering design experience ranging from Federal, Institutional, and Healthcare.
As an expert in AutoCAD, Robert was always attracted to the growing technologies used in transforming the profession and understood early how 3D modeling tools could reduce technical design conflicts and visualize highly complex spaces. He quickly became an expert in Revit – a Building Information Modeling (BIM) platform, and a Certified Professional in Revit Architecture.
Robert provides design support and coordination for the architectural and engineering project teams. His experience includes planning, organizing, tracking and revising construction documents for our clients in Commercial/Corporate, Higher Education, Hospitality/Retail and Sports. Robert is driven to help others realize the value of the BIM which makes him well suited for the responsibility of training our team in the capabilities of Revit. As BIM Manager, he is continually focused on integrating methods used in the future of design and project delivery process and creating the long-term infrastructure and standards for both Revit and AutoCAD for firm.
Outside of the office, he is heavily involved in with his daughters’ gymnastics organization and enjoys music and outdoor activities. Robert leads the firm’s participation in CANstruction Pittsburgh, which last year helped donate about 3 tons of food to the a local food bank.
