Brian Gruendl, RAProject Architect
In the summer of 2014 Brian joined DLA+ as an intern. After graduating with his Bachelor of Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University in 2015, he started in a full time position with the firm.
Based on Brian’s fascination with construction while helping on many household projects, his father, a carpenter, suggested architecture as a profession. Eventually the idea stuck and with the help of friends, family, professors and colleagues, he is now pursuing that career path.
While working on projects in Corporate/Commercial, Higher Education, Sports and Retail at the firm, Brian gained experience in architectural design, existing field conditions work, programming exercises, and become more proficient with AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Revit. He also helps complete the firm’s AIA award submissions. The fascinating dichotomy of beautiful, inspirational renderings and intricate construction details intrigues and motivates him every day.
He spends time outside the office hanging out with family and friends, watching sports, playing baseball, reading, traveling and sketching.
