Richard joined DLA+ as an architectural intern in the summer of 2017.  He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.

After a family road trip to Fallingwater, he knew architecture was his calling.  The way the structure touches the earth and is framed by nature is a portrait that is forever ingrained in Richard’s memory.   

Richard has gained experience in construction documents and detailing, as well as becoming more proficient with AutoCAD and Sketchup.  He is using these skills working on projects in Residential, Higher Education, Retail, and Commercial at the firm.  Having a vision brought into the physical world through architecture is driving Richard and he is enjoys having a role in a project that will be used every day.

In his free time, Richard enjoys running and sketching to investigate the world around him.
