The Club at Nevillewood Expansion and Renovations
DLA+ developed a facilities master plan for the club, determining how the club could enhance its amenities to improve the member experience and be more competitive with nationwide clubs. The resulting two-phased project was the first major renovation the club has seen since its opening in 1992. DLA+ was tasked with adding the new Golf Operations Center Building and the new two-story Wellness Center. The lower-level club renovations included the Pro Shop, Mixed Grille Room, Locker Rooms, and Pool Concessions and Bar.

Project Challenges and Outcomes
Challenges
DLA+ was hired to implement the recommendations from The Club at Nevillewood’s Master Plan that incorporated recent club trends and updated amenity spaces. The goal of the additions and updates was to retain existing members and attract new members. The challenge was to complete the major renovations and additions while adhering to the club’s strict budget.
Outcomes
Phase One of the project included the addition of the Golf Operations Center Building. The new center houses golf carts, course maintenance vehicles, bag storage, golf offices, and an indoor practice area with a teaching golf simulator. Relocating the golf cart storage from within the existing Clubhouse, improved cart traffic flow and club member parking, and freed up space for a new practice putting green. The exterior façade of the new building matches the existing club’s design aesthetic.
Phase Two of the project included a new, two-level 5,600 SF Wellness Center addition with fitness equipment areas, an exercise studio for fitness classes, and a private massage room. The Wellness Center also includes new locker rooms that are shared by the pool complex. A new pool concessions and bar for the pool area were added to the main building and the pool sun deck was doubled in size. A new kitchen was added to the lower level to serve the Mixed Grille Room, pool complex, and dining patio. Additional lower-level renovations included a relocated/expanded Pro Shop, updated men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a new Mixed Grille Room with an indoor and outdoor bar that services the patio.
