9/11 had a huge impact on the operation of sports venues, with a priority placed on safety and security. Now, under the COVID-19 pandemic, we will witness health and wellness take center stage and become core principles of sports venue design and operations. It is uncertain how long and to what extent the current COVID-19 crisis will continue; however, health and wellness will likely continue as drivers. DLA+ is focusing on various key considerations for sports venue design in a post COVID-19 world.
